About the game

4 questions
Is Metin3 an online private server?

No. Metin3 is a story-driven single-player PC RPG with a bundled local game server. Optional co-op exists, but there is no persistent public MMORPG realm and no shared live-world race.

What makes Metin3 different from classic Metin2?

The core loop is rebuilt around a local campaign: named save slots on your PC, the Coruptia Metin quest journal, teleporter travel, companions and optional session-code co-op. You play at your own pace — not on a public server ladder.

Do I need an always-on internet connection?

Single-player play is local. You may need connectivity for download, updates, Discord, the separate item shop, or optional co-op relay joins — but the campaign itself is not a live MMO login.

Is this an official Gameforge product?

No. Metin3 is an independent single-player project inspired by classic Metin2 systems. Metin2 branding and related IP belong to their respective owners.

Campaign & story

4 questions
What is Coruptia Metin?

Coruptia Metin is the main quest campaign: 96 story quests and 24 side contracts from level 1 to 99, tracked in the quest journal across six acts and a final confrontation with Lord Metin.

Is the campaign linear?

The main journal is a linear chain of story objectives. Side contracts run in parallel so you can farm, explore and complete bounties between acts without leaving the campaign fantasy.

What are the campaign acts?

The journal moves through Jinno Burns, Ruins of Shinsoo, Temples of Chunjo, the Dimensional Rift, the Reconquest, the Hidden Fortress and the Fall of Lord Metin. Full act write-ups live on the Story page.

Are the three endings already playable?

Design documents describe Light, Power and Darkness endings after Lord Metin, but they are not yet selectable as live journal branches. The shipped campaign currently ends at defeating Lord Metin.

Classes & companions

4 questions
Which classes can I play?

Four classic jobs: Warrior, Ninja, Sura and Shaman, each with two specialisations. Compare them on the Classes page.

Can I finish the campaign solo with any class?

Yes. Every class supports a full solo run through Coruptia Metin. Difficulty and playstyle differ — tanks, mobile damage, hybrid pressure and magical support all work.

What is a companion?

A companion is a local ally you can hire — any class, with selectable behavior and gear. Companions are not co-op players and do not require opening a session.

Is Lycan available?

No. Metin3 ships the classic four classes only.

Co-op

4 questions
Is co-op required?

No. The campaign is designed for solo play. Open co-op only when you want allies.

How do I host or join a friend?

Enter the world first, then create a session and share the MT2 session code. Friends paste the code to join. No port forwarding or IP sharing is required. Same-LAN sessions can discover automatically; otherwise a relay handles NAT.

Does co-op create a public server?

No. Co-op is a temporary session around a host world. It is not a persistent online realm and does not replace local saves as your long-term progress store.

Can I return to solo after co-op?

Yes. Close or leave the session and continue your local campaign whenever you want.

Download & install

4 questions
Where can I download the game?

The Download page shows the active approved build when one is configured. If no button appears, a public download has not been published yet — check the Roadmap and Discord for status.

What are the system requirements?

Minimum and recommended specs are listed on the Download page when confirmed. Until then, treat requirements as “to be confirmed” rather than marketing claims.

The game will not start — what should I try?

Confirm you used the approved build from the Download page, install Visual C++ / graphics drivers if prompted, run as a normal Windows user first, then check Discord/Support with your Windows version, GPU and any log or error text.

Where do I find known issues?

Release notes on the Download page (when published) and announcements on Discord are the fastest sources. The Support page explains what to include in a bug report.

Gameplay & systems

4 questions
How does travel work?

Use the in-game teleporter NPC. Each jump costs 5,000 Yang. Twelve destinations are available now, including level-gated Spider Dungeon 2 (35–75) and Exile Cave (75–105). See World for the list.

What rewards do quests give?

Story and side quests grant experience, Yang, Bravery Capes, upgrade materials and Energy of Goodness (tiered by level). Energy of Goodness is an in-game upgrade item — not the shop’s EP currency.

Which core systems are available?

Expect classic Metin2 loops rebuilt for solo play: combat, equipment refine, farm crafting, mounts, pets, Dragon Soul, costumes, NPC shops, warehouse storage, Metin Stones and solo dungeon routes on the teleporter allow-list.

Is Devil’s Catacomb available?

Not on the current teleporter allow-list. Destinations appear only when they are enabled in the live map list — planned locations are called out on the Roadmap when relevant.

Item shop

3 questions
Is the item shop part of this website?

No. The item shop is a separate site (EP currency) linked from the header. The story campaign does not require shop purchases.

Is Energy of Goodness the same as EP?

No. Energy of Goodness is earned from quests inside the game. EP is the separate web shop currency.

Do I need the shop to finish Coruptia Metin?

No. The campaign is built to be completable through gameplay rewards, local progression and systems already in the client.

Saves & progress

4 questions
Where is my progress saved?

Progress is stored in named local save slots on your computer (local database under the game install). There is no cloud MMO character account for the campaign.

Can I have more than one character?

Yes. Create separate named save slots for different heroes, classes or playthroughs. Each slot keeps its own campaign progress and inventory.

Will I lose progress if I close the game?

Progress lives in your local save. Use the in-game save/continue flow as usual. Back up the save folder if you reinstall Windows or move PCs.

Can I transfer a save to another PC?

Because saves are local files, you can copy the save data between machines when you know your install paths. Treat that as a manual backup/transfer — there is no cloud sync service on this website.
